Nuheat Mat Sizes
NOTE: Nuheat Floor Heating Systems provide soothing warmth to various types of flooring surfaces including tile, stone, granite, laminate and engineered wood.
The electric floor heating system can use one or a combination of in floor heating mats to deliver under floor heat for the entire room. Nuheat in floor heating mats come in over 60 different standard sizes and are available in both 120 & 240 volt formats.
Nuheat Cable System
Nuheat Cable is a floor heating system that allows contractors to instantly make on-site adjustments to the floor heating coverage for any room including those with curves and angles. Nuheat Cable can be also used to heat wet areas such as shower beds and benches or saunas.
Nuheat Cable can be controlled using the same programmable and non-programmable thermostat options as Nuheat Mats.

Nuheat Mat Installation – For Tile/Stone Installations
The installation of Nuheat mats is a simple process that takes a fraction of the time when compared to other floor heating systems. The Nuheat Mat(s) is simply adhered to the subfloor using thinset and the flooring can then be immediately installed over top.
For Laminate/Engineered Wood Installations
Just like a tile and stone application, Nuheat floor Heating systems can take the chill out of laminate and engineered wood surfaces, ensuring you the pleasure of barefoot comfort in any room in your home. The Nuheat Mat(s) is simply adhered to the subfloor using thinset then covered with 1/4″ thick layer of thinset. Then follow manufacturer’s installation instructions to install the underlay and your laminate or engineered wood floor.
When installing Nuheat under laminate or engineered wood, flooring manufacturers usually require homeowners to limit the temperature of floor heating system. Nuheat’s programmable thermostats have specific settings for laminate or engineered wood floors that will protect the warranty of your floors.
Nuheat Cable Installation – For Tile/Stone Installations
Patented Nuheat Cable Guides (included in each kit) are first secured onto the subfloor around the perimeter of the room. The Nuheat Cable Guides are superior to other clips used with other floor heating cable systems as they are made of durable flexible plastic and lay flat on the subfloor to guarantee a low profile. The heating cable is then installed and covered with self-leveler or thinset. After the self-leveler or thinset has cured, flooring can then be installed over top.
For Laminate/Engineered Wood Installations
Just like a tile and stone application, Nuheat floor heating systems can take the chill out of laminate and engineered wood surfaces, ensuring you the pleasure of barefoot comfort in any room in your home.

DITRA-HEAT Membrane
The DITRA-HEAT membrane is available in both mat and roll formats and is designed to secure the system heating cables and serves as a universal substrate for tile coverings. Similar to DITRA, the original uncoupling membrane, DITRA-HEAT provides uncoupling to neutralize the differential movement stresses between the substrate and the tile covering to prevent cracked grout and tile, waterproofing to protect moisture-sensitive substrates, vapor management, and support.
Heating Cable
The twisted pair heating cable is available in 120 and 240 Volt formats. The cables can be installed without returning to the thermostat and produce virtually no electromagnetic fields.
Digital Thermostat
The digital thermostat controls the floor temperature and is offered in both a programmable and non-programmable format. The thermostats feature a built-in Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI), digital display with backlit screen, and support both the 120 and 240 Volt cables. The programmable thermostat also includes 250 preset programs.

Uncoupling
DITRA-HEAT provides uncoupling through its geometric configuration, which allows for in-plane movement that effectively neutralizes the differential movement stresses between the substrate and the tile, thus eliminating the major cause of cracking and delaminating of the tiled surface.
Vapor Management Waterproofing
DITRA-HEAT features a polypropylene composition which protects the substrate from moisture penetration. This is particularly important in bathrooms, kitchens, and any environment that may be affected by moisture.
The free space on the underside of DITRA-HEAT provides a route for excess moisture and vapor to escape from the substrate that could otherwise cause damage to the tile covering above.
Support/Load Distribution
Loads are transferred from the tile covering through DITRA-HEAT’s column-like mortar structures to the substrate. Since DITRA-HEAT is virtually incompressible within the tile assembly, the advantages of uncoupling are achieved without sacrificing point load distribution capabilities.
Product Configuration
The unique configuration of DITRA-HEAT enables the cables to be held in the matting securely, while creating a free space to provide uncoupling. This design also provides for mechanical anchoring of the thin-set mortar to the matting

There are 2 main thermostat Options for the DITRA-HEAT tile warming system – A fully programmable SMART digital thermostat with floor temperature sensor and a non-programmable SMART digital thermostat, also still with the floor temperature sensor.
